Weekly Task 5

In my country, there a lot of media company that own the newspapers and the TV station. By then, they only effect me on just the local news. For the international news, I can seek more references in the internet or other form of media . The local media is doing their best to provide the local news for the local people. By then, they also can be manipulated our mind with just some incorrect information or false news make by them.  So we can’t rely on them fully trust with the news that they provide to us. In other mean, we also need to hear from the local people view.

Nowadays things getting more manipulated as more media company is involve of collection news and information of the nations. Like I inform on the previous essay, it depend on who wrote it and where they collect the source of the information. It hard because we can’t refer to other new source such as international news because they only focus to the huge topic. So there is come where we also need to see and look another point of view in the local people view. This is help us to gain the information a lot more accurate and correct because there lot of reference to be refer and prove of it. That why to confirm something, we need to do research about it.

In the local news, it might effect me when there are fake news such as more about politics. The normal citizen can’t criticize more on the politics because it been manipulated by the high power people. We can only see for our own eye about that. More than that, the local news haven’t any effect on me, unless there is the topic that I really want to read about it or interested in it. 

In the end, the newspaper and TV stations is only own to the media company which only they can manipulated and control the news. But there are some local newspaper or TV station whom is listen to the citizen view instead of making their own point of views. But also this will make the information misleading or might be correct. We can’t do anything about the news company because they can kept us living in the fear by just manipulating the news. This is just a view from me and this is what I think about our local newspaper and TV stations.

Weekly Task 4

For me, I always read paper and also watch new on television. It keeps me up with the world current updates. To me watching news on television is lot more interesting because the media contact is more visual than reading on the newspaper.  But the disadvantages of watching news is that, if we miss the slot then they won’t repeat it again. Which is different from reading the newspaper, where we can read it all over again and kept it as a reference later. But the is also some organization which keep record each of the news on television as a  reference.

Thanks of the new, that I get the latest and current information about what happening on the world today. Even do some are the news is a bit of media conspiracy, but we can’t just assume that the news is true or not. By then we also need to make a bit more of research before confirm it about the news. Some news might be different because there are many media company that collect news and give it to their reader or watcher. It depend on who wrote the news and how the story that is told.

Nowadays people are smarter when the invention of internet hit the world. The new now can be read in virtual world which is online webpage. The online news is lot more faster that paper and television news because it need to be launching according to the time and edition. Meanwhile, the online new it can be updated in real time, instantly. But there also fake news that been on the internet, because in the internet we don’t know who the person who wrote and where did he/she get the source from. Unless we can refer it to the newspaper or television news. Making more reference is important.

In the end, the news is really important to everyone in the world. It help us with the latest update with the current issue about the world. Also the new is quickly spreading by any media form and sources.  Even do it has lot of source, its depend on each person view to trust it or not. Imagine if our community didn’t listen, read or watch the news, we will be left behind and sticking with an outdates information. By then we be living the same old world with nothing new and special to look forward.  

Task Week 3

What I think about theater is a collaborative of art with use of live performers to give the present experience of a real live or imagined event before a live audience in a specific place. Theater I think it’s also a form of media, because it can give message to the audience by acting or conclusion of a drama scene. The performers communicate with the audience by through combination of gesture, speech, song, music or dance. To give my feeling to the show, the performance wear a theme costume and props for the background with the same theme depend on the show themes. 

There are different type of theater, one is classical theater which was involve acting and speech. The other are musical theater which involve in only a music and dancing. The way on how the audience get the message from watching the performance is by understanding the storyline of the show, if it was involve on acting or speech.

Theater is lot of interesting during the old day where they don't have digital entertainment yet. Theater is an entertainment for them. So come the famous theater people such as William Shakespeare and others. They are introduce the fine art of theater and until today people are replacing theater with digital cinema.

Back on to understanding media form, actually media is a part of sending an information from another person to another person. So that what actually theater do by giving the conclusion or message by understanding the story. Same goes with the musical theater, it using music and dance for the message or it just in the lyric in the song that is a message.

To me that is how the theater work as a media form, it giving information to the audience by doing performance such as singing, acting, speaking, and dancing. A very good storyline is needed for the theater or else the audience won’t understand the message given. So far today there still people performs theater, but only at specific place such as opera house. In Malaysia, we still having theater show at Istana Budaya. It got a lot of audience on who prefer the old entertainment.

Task Week 2

There lot of social community all over the world which is using media. I was making research on this four social group and the four social/cultural group that use media is :

1. Children

Most children nowadays in the digital lifestyle, they are likely more interested learning in using digital media such as Television, Computers, Radio and others. This because the digital media is lot more interesting and very interactive.

2. Teacher

When come to children, teachers in school also prefer using digital media such as television and computer to aid the children with the education . They also use another form of media which is print such as book and also for the digital such as a CD ROM.

 3. Tourist

When first where people are going to decide on vacation, first they always brought a tour book guide and maps. Its media form of a print. Then they are also using television as a media to see what is the most interesting places that they was to visit.

 

4. Police

For this police are using another form of media which was a radio, such as a walkies talkie. They also use print media such as poster or pamphlet as a warning or information about the police.
